The Battle In Richardson took place Wednesday Night between two Richardson ISD schools, Richardson High School and Richardson J.J. Pearce. Both teams brought out a big fan base for the district affair. The game was very low scoring throughout the contest. J.J. Pearce came out on top 61-56 despite playing in a hostile environment up the road.
Drew Timme / 6’9” / Forward / JJ Pearce / 2019
Timme the Gonzaga commit dominated on the offensive end and showcased his good footwork down low on the block. Timme has great skill for position and passes the ball really well for a player his size. Drew is a capable jump shooter but if he becomes more consistent with his jump shot he will be even more difficult to contain at the next level.
Cason Wallace / 6’3” / Guard / Richardson / 2022
Wallace plays the game like a upperclassmen on both ends of the floor. Wallace has nice athleticism to go along with his ability to score the basketball. Cason has a good first step that he displayed in the half court setting when defenders tried to play him tight. Wallace definitely is one of the top prospects in the State of Texas for the Class of 2022.
Other Notables:
Sterling Hopkins / 6’2” / Guard / JJ Pearce / 2019
Sterling Hopkins for JJ Pearce played solid in the win. He attacked the lane hard and made some good plays on the offensive end for his Mustangs team.
Armoni Wade / 6’7” / Forward / Richardson / 2019
Wade didn’t score that much but he showed good athleticism and rebounded well for Richardson. Wade is an Unsigned Senior that D3 and NAIA coaches should come take a look at.
