Jalen Sullinger (5’9 / G / Thomas Worthington): With a popular family background in hoops at the highest levels, Jalen sometimes can hold high expectations. The young Sullinger is averaging almost 14 PPG. A big time game against Delaware Hayes with 35 points, a close 76-73 loss for Thomas Worthington. The young stud may lack size right now, but don’t underestimate him as he gets to the hoop with ease. Creating separation comes at ease, and a knockdown shooter from distance.
Chance Groce (6’5 / W / Linden-McKinley): One of the City League’s better players in the state capital, Chance Groce can beat you multiple ways. Averaging 15 points a game this season, the Linden sophomore is a force in the lane and on the boards for his position. A capable shooter and good physicality. Steadily showing growth in maturing will be key to how good the stud wing can really be.
Jack Sawyer (6’5 / PF / Pickerington North): A big time five-star defensive end prospect on the gridiron. Jack Sawyer also has division one basketball capabilities. A physical imposing matchup for any team, the big man is averaging 21 points a game. The best player on a solid Pickerington North team. Tough through traffic and a solid mid range game, the 6’5 Sawyer can effect the game at a high level.
Tyrese Hughey (6’7 / PF / Licking Heights): A Player you more so want to watch down the road, Tyrese is going to be a force. Averaging about 10 points a game through December. A game high of 21, Tyrese can affect the game in multiple ways. A physical force in the paint with a strong presence that won’t be stopped when given opportunity. A board crasher at 6’7, Licking Heights should be a good rebounding team for years to come. The physical traits to be an above average defender. A future D1 prospect, it’ll be fun to watch the stud big man over the next couple years.
Jackson Izzard (6’1 / G / Jonathan Alder): The sophomore is the leading scorer on a solid Jonathan Alder team, tallying 13 a game. An impressive 22 point performance against Columbus South should have opened some people’s eyes on the 6’1 guard. A tough guard who can knock it down at a high rate, the Pioneer is solid in the lane and finishes well at the hoop. Jackson is a player you want to keep an eye on at Alder over the next couple years.
