PG Mario McKinney (Vashon – 2019)
McKinney didn’t start the game, but the Mizzou commit came in midway through the first quarter with his entire future coaching staff in the stands. The lefty scoring combo guard is so tough! He plays with an endless motor and passion for the game. Competitiveness is off the charts. Quickness worked against the Belleville West zone as he found some creases. Crafty layup maker. McKinney flew around for steals sacrificing his body for extra possessions for his team. Also had a huge dunk with his offhand going right down the lane. He had 17 points (7-18 FG).
SF Cam’Ron Fletcher (Vashon – 2020)
Fletcher is one of the highest rated wings in the Midwest for the junior class. This 6’6” small forward has excellent size for position along with plus athleticism. Fletcher showed his burst off the bounce where he got to the rack with a quick first step. Played above the rim with a huge alley-oop along with a dunk late where he went around Liddell for a slam. Fletcher went 2-7 from three. He is a prospect we have always liked as a shooter. His motion is now a little different as he leans way back on the release. Struggled at the foul line with that same release going 1-5. If he wants to lock in we believe Fletcher can be an elite defensive prospect. His stat line as 17 points (7-13 FG). So much upside here!
SG Donyae McCaskill (Vashon – 2019)
This Portland commit is a physical and athletic two guard that likes to use that scoring off the bounce along with getting to the foul line. He is at his best in transition where he had a couple big finishes. He went for 7 points (2-7 FG), 5 rebounds, and 3 dimes.
PG Phillip Russell (Vashon – 2020)
Russell is a smaller point guard who thrives as a perimeter shooter. He went 4-8 from three hitting several huge ones trying to get his team back in the game. Even drilled a three that he was fouled on finishing with 13 points.
SF Kobe Clark (Vashon – 2020)
Clark is a jumbo wing who had one of his most effective games we have seen out of him on the high school level. Great size and athleticism give him a lot of projectability. The production and activity level matched in this one. Clark got on the offensive glass for several put backs. Hit 1-3 from beyond the arc. He was very good on the glass recording six offensive boards. Also active on the defensive end with his length. Clark had 13 points (5-11 FG), 7 rebounds, and 4 steals.
PG Caleb Love (CBC – 2020)
Love went to work for CBC at the Highland Shootout. The 6’3” point guard works so well in ball screen situations. He has learned how to manipulate them the way he wants to gets what he is looking for out of the play. That might be a pick and roll where he gets his big man involved, coming off it on a drive to the rim, or using it to set up his pull up game. Burst with the ball in his hands especially getting downhill. Had a couple big finishes in transition. Overall he has a good feel for the game and was best while setting up his teammates and picking his spots to score. Did have a few too many turnovers. Like his potential on the defensive end as he continues to get better on that end. Rebounds well for a point guard. Love’s line was 23 points (8-17 FG) (2-6 3PT), 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 turnovers, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.
PF Josh Wallace (CBC – 2019)
Wallace is a bouncy four man who is a high energy forward. He had a few huge dunks on dump offs and put backs. Also works well in the pick/roll. Wallace went for 13 points (5-6 FG). Would have liked to see him grab more than just two boards.
SG Ari Jackson (CBC – 2019)
Jackson came up with the key play late defensively. The wing is tough and super athletic. Also presents the ability to stretch the floor. Jackson stuffed the stat sheet for 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
SG Jackson Andrews (CBC – 2019)
Andrews stands at 6’1” and the senior is the spot up specialist for CBC. He went 3-5 from deep hitting multiple off the catch for 9 points.
SG Chevailier Brenson (CBC – 2021)
Athletic wing with broad shoulders who can play on and off the ball. Connected on a smooth looking pull up jumpers. Sound passer. Brenson had 5 points and 3 assists.
PG Robert Martin (CBC – 2022)
Martin is only a freshman, but this small guard has big time game. Quick with the ball in his hands winning off the dribble where he likes to finish in the lane with runners. Martin also hit a three. He went for 9 points and 3 assists.
SG Luke Kasubke (Chaminade – 2020)
Kasubke is a prospect that has always been known as a plus shooter with size. In our evaluations of him this year especially at the Highland Shootout it is apparent he has really improved his game off the bounce. Handles have tightened up significantly and he was much more aggressive off the bounce. Mixed in a variety of runners, pull up mid-range jumpers, and acrobatic finishes at the cup. Also connected on 3-10 from beyond the three point arc. Got to the line at a nice clip. He had 28 points (10-23 FG), 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals.
SG Harrison Vickers (Chaminade – 2020)
Vickers is an angular 6’4” two guard with potential as a two way player. He is most effective slashing to the hoop and scoring on cuts where he finishes. Good body control around the rim shielding the ball from defenders. Streaky shooter that can be better with improved shot selection. Vickers had 15 points and 5 boards.
SG Matteus Case (Chaminade – 2020)
Case continues to elevate his stock as a senior. With Batchman MIA this junior stepped up. He has a crisp release on his jumper and is active in the paint as a rebounder from his guard spot. Also thought he brought something to the table defensively with his length. Case had 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals.
SG Dominique Hardimon (Poplar Bluff – 2019)
Hardimon has a unique game. The 6’3” shooting guard is a thick bodied wing that is more crafty than athletic. He just has a knack for knowing how to get stuff done. The senior has a relentless motor! He scores best from 15 feet and in although he did hit one corner three. Finishes well at the cup using his body control to get it on the rim while shielding the ball from his defender. Tough rebounder that gets on the glass on both ends. He had 16 points (7-16 FG), 12 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Stat sheet stuffer.
PG Tyler Cline (Poplar Bluff – 2019)
Cline stepped up huge for Poplar Bluff. The combo guard can really shoot it from deep as he drained a trio of them. This tough guard also mixed in some transition layups. Cline had 20 points (8-13 FG) and 6 rebounds.
SG Isiaih Mosley (Rock Bridge – 2019)
Mosley is currently the top ranked senior prospect by PrepHoopsMissouri. The two guard impressed us early in his career at Nike Elite 100 along with playing for MoKan. He came off the bench in this contest, but was the best player on the floor for Rock Bridge. The 6’5” two guard started off early by getting on the offensive glass for a few put backs. Burst with the ball in his hands off the bounce. Effortless release on his three point shot where he went 2-4 from deep. Has improved his handles getting to the cup on several slick drives for and-1s. Mosley is a volume scorer with a lot of upside. He had 19 points (7-16 FG) and 4 rebounds.
SF Jamonta Black (Rock Bridge – 2019)
This Missouri State commit is an explosive athlete on the wing that has scoring potential. Shot it well from beyond the arc going 4-9 from deep to go along with an explosive transition jam. Black had 14 points.
SF Dajuan Harris (Rock Bridge – 2019)
Harris is another Missouri State commit who has great athleticism on the perimeter. Attacks downhill and gets to the foul line. Also proved to be a quality passer and defended well. Harris had 10 points (3-5 FG), 5 assists, and 3 steals.
PG Charles Wilson (Rock Bridge – 2019)
Wilson is a 6’1” point guard who brought energy to his squad off the bench. The senior was outstanding on the glass with his bounce off the floor and scored with threes and put backs. Wilson had 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals.
