Sioux Valley vs. Aberdeen Roncalli
The Cossacks have had a decent year after losing most of their scoring from last season. Sioux Valley does return some experienced players from last year state tournament team. Junior Max Nielson and Ryan Schuster are two players that will provide leadership and some points for the Cossacks. Aberdeen Roncalli looks get out to a faster start than they did in the Tea Area game where they only scored seven points in the first quarter. Salesi Mounga and Brandon Fauth help led a second quarter surge from the Cavaliers in that game against Tea Area. This should be a good game if you are in the area.
Parker vs. Rapid City Christian
The Pheasants return most of their team from last years Round of 16 team. Camden Bialas and Trey Christensen headline the Parker Pheasants while Sam Schlabach and Levi Vanden Bos lead the Comets. Both teams are 8-2 on the season. This should be a close game from start to finish.
White Rivers vs. Bridgewater-Emery
This game is a rematch of last year’s third place game at the state tournament in which the Huskies won in a double overtime thriller. This one should be just as good as both teams return a trio of players from last years squads. The Huskies return Sawyer Schultz and Jamin Arend along with Carter Dye in the post. The Tigers return five key players in Jadice Morrison, Nick Sayler, Tyson Iyotte, Theron Samuel and Izaiah Sorace.
Tea Area vs. St. Thomas More.
The Titans have been taking care of business thus far this season. They are led by two Divison I Max Nsignees in Noah Freidel (Wright State) and Justin Hohn (UC Irvine). Their only loss came at the hands of the No. 1 team in the nation, La Lumiere, in which they brought a 25-plus deficit down to 14. St. Thomas More is one of two undefeated teams left in Class A. They’ve had a couple of impressive wins earlier in the season and are led by 6-foot-6 junior Ryder Kirsch. The Cavaliers could get out and give Tea Area their first loss against South Dakota teams.
