With some great wins over Monterrey Trails and Sacremento High and also a very good Inderkum team. Grant has proved themselves in the first half of the season. Because of their good play they have been ranked as the number 69th team in the state. While being 69th in the state in their San Joaquin division 2 they are ranked 3rd and also on a 11 game win streak.
Their is a reason why they are on an 11 game win streak. The leadership coming from senior 6’5 guard Steven Richardson is off the charts. A complete play maker, Steven sets the ton from the bench keeping his young counter parts in check and being a coach from the bench and on the floor.
Besides Steven there are some other notable names from this team. One being Dee Juan Pruit a 6’7 Senior who a phenomenal athlete and blocks every shot near him. While being a great shot blocker he makes things happen by finishing above the rim , grabbing tip jams and catching alley oops left and right. He is a force in the paint.
Junior guard Aj Mcgee has accepted his role as one of the teams primary leaders and ball handlers. With a quick shifty handle Mcgee has been getting into the pain and finding his teammates, he also takes it upon himself to score for the team when needed. As a junior you can see his game maturing each and every game. He will be a vital point for the team success in conference and in the playoffs.
The team jumps back into action on January 4th against Burbank High and then on the 5th against Inderkum.
