Games Of The Week 1/14 through 1/19
Johnstown (7-1) @ Granville (7-2)
Wednesday
The alphas of the Licking County league are looking to go into Granville and stay atop. Led by Owen Hazelbaker Johnstown has been humming, the big man West Liberty signee can do it all. Granville is led by a balanced scoring attack of five players averaging more then seven points a game. Notibley Cam Crouch and Jake Stone are the go to for the 7-2 Granville squad.
Prediction: Johnstown
Columbus South (11-0) @ Walnut Ridge (9-2)
Friday
A game that went down to the absolute wire last time in overtime where South defeated Walnut Ridge 78-74. The undefeated South team is led by unsigned Senior Tre Watkins who puts up a smooth 15 points per game for the Bulldogs. Walnut Ridge is coming in hot, winning six of their last seven games. Von Cameron-Davis will have to continue his monster year to pull off the upset for the Scots.
Prediction: Walnut Ridge
Pickerington North (9-2) @ Pickerington Central (12-0)
Friday
Pickerington North is looking go on the road and avenge an early season loss to the Tigers. Sophomore Jack Sawyer is one of the best forwards in the state and Panthers will need everyone bit of production he brings. Pickerington Central is down three starters, and will be missing those players badly. Look for Javohn Garcia, Garner Wallace and Conner Maciag to step up big time.
Prediction: Pickerington North
Dublin Coffman (12-0) @ Hilliard Davidson (9-2)
Friday
The highly-talented Coffman offense will be hard to stop, led by the trio of Dom Penn, Luke Bartemes and Derek Van Vlerah. Looking to knock of the Undefeated Rocks is a solid Hilliard Davidson team that has won seven in a row. That Cats of Davidson are led by the double-digit scoring trio of Christian Gillian, Gage Keys and Jacob Drees.
Prediction: Dublin Coffman
Hilliard Bradley (11-0) @ Thomas Worthington (10-2)
Friday
The Bradley team has rode tough defense and stellar play from Matt Allocco to an undefeated Record. A well coached team that won’t be easy to beat, anytime. On Friday night Thomas Worthington will look to do just that. A surprise to some those season record wise at 10-2 at the midway point. Led by Ohio Bobcat signee Ben Wight and stud sophomore Jalen Sullinger, Davidson will look to pull the upset on the cross-county Hilliard Bradley program.
