Edmond North 53, Lawton Ike 52
Edmond North defeated Lawton Ike 53-52 on Saturday in one of the most entertaining games of the season. The touted squads sat within a few points of each other for most of the 32-minute clash before the Huskies’ eventual pulling-away in the fourth quarter. But before the Huskies could claim victory, the Eagles refused to go down without a fight by bringing the score within a single point with three seconds left. Dalante Shannon of Edmond North led the game with 23 points. Antonio Gordon and Mike Berry of Lawton Ike had 13 apiece. Eleven of Berry’s 13 came in the fourth quarter.
Heritage Hall 85, Putnam City North 56
The Heritage Hall Chargers continued their reign with an 85-56 route over Putnam City North in the second round. The Hall, led in scoring by sophomore Trey Alexander with 37 points, led for the entirety of the game en route to the win. Michael McLaughlin added 16 for the Chargers, and Will McDonald and Phillip Smitherman both had 10. The Panthers were led in scoring by senior point guard Micah Thomas, who had 19 in the loss. Tobias Roland had 17 for PC North.
Putnam City West 86, Putnam City 79
Putnam City West got its revenge on Putnam City on Friday night in an 86-79 win just 28 days after the Pirates got the best of the Patriots. Rondel Walker led the way for Putnam City with 33 points. Elijah James and Trentez Scales had 13 points each for the Patriots, and Donovan Green added 11. Tre Carolina led the way for Putnam City with 17 points. Alfred Alkannama added 15 to finish second in scoring for the Pirates; Davion Rucker, Kendural Jolly, and Shayon Janloo each had 11 in the loss. Shemar Benford-Miles had 10
