6’5 F Dareon Graham – McCluer
Dareon was probably the most impressive player in the field and has a very projectable and versatile skillset. The long, athletic wing showed off his range early with a pair of three pointers and from there he went into attack mode showing some explosiveness getting to the rim and finishing. He is strong with the rock, can play above the rim, and is a crafty and tough finisher with contact.
6’7 F Adam Bell – Lindbergh
There is a lot to like about Adam’s game. He is a tall, lengthy forward who can mix it up inside-out. He can stretch the floor beyond the arc and has a nice pull-up mid-range game. He can put it on the floor and uses his length well to get to the rim. He has a crafty face-up game on the block and is a very good passer.
6’0 G Josh Kleinheider – Vianney
Josh WENT OFF in the second half against Westminster. He was the only 30+ scorer of the evening and showed incredible toughness and grit in a takeover performance. Although undersized, he is tough as nails and goes to the rim with purpose. He hit a number of clutch threes to keep his team in the game and made several impressive steals and coast to coast scores.
6’1 G Colten Seyer – Jackson
Colten is a KNOCK-DOWN shooter for a very talented Jackson team. Against a young, scrappy DuBourg group that was smelling upset in the first round, Colten buried them time and time again with big threes. If he has any space at all to get it off, he has a better than average chance of drilling it from range.
6’1 G Luke Linam – Westminster
Speaking of shooters, Luke had himself quite a night in a thrilling opening round win over Vianney. He knocked down five three-pointers in the game and as teams closed hard to him he showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and score it at the rim. He led his squad with 19 big points on the night.
6’6 F Dalton Tollison – Jackson
Dalton is a very fundamentally sound forward who plays a true back to the basket game. He seals extremely hard on the block and can often gain good enough positioning to score at the bucket without needing a dribble. He has solid footwork and nice touch off the glass and was a load on the offensive boards.
5’10 G Carlos Brickhouse – DuBourg
Carlos is a solid guard with an excellent motor who impressed us the most by being a leader on an extremely young team. Often times there were 3 freshmen on the floor with him, and he did a nice job of keeping his guys composed and sharp throughout. He’s a true slasher that loves to attack from the wing and excels in transition. He is also a quality defender and underrated weakside shot blocker.
6’9 C Seth Beussink – Jackson
The tallest player in the tournament, Seth has a unique skillset that should catch attention at the next level. Obviously, at his size he is a more than capable rim protector and rebounder. Offensively he takes advantage of dump-off opportunities and has some impressive range. He knocked down a smooth turn-around jumper from about ten feet and stroked a face-up 15 footer in the win over DuBourg
5’9 G Tarell Morris – Confluence
Tarell has been one of the bright spots in a tough season so far for the short-handed Titans. He’s a lead guard and at times a bulk shooter but when he gets going he can certainly fill it up. He got hot from beyond the arc against McCluer and played some tough on-ball defense resulting in steals and scores that made things interesting down the stretch. As his team gets back to full-strength and some pressure is taken off his shoulder, expect him to become more and more efficient for Confluence.
6’5 F Tavon Graham – Confluence
Tavon is pretty much Mr. Consistent for the Titans. They know they can pretty much take it to the bank that he will get them a double-double every night. He did not have his best performance against McCluer, but he delivered a hard earned double-double. He is a very gifted-rebounder that makes a living on put-backs and dump-offs. He did a nice job of drawing a larger, slower defender out to the perimeter and attacking him off the dribble.
