Stevie Wright 6’5″ Webster Groves: An underrated combo forward who has had a big impact in the Statesmen’s 11-0 record and current No. 1 ranking in Class 5. He is a strong offensive rebounder who works the glass with fury and finishes well around the rim. He is a tough kid who plays with a high motor and gets good results and production on a nightly basis. He is currently averaging 11 points and seven rebounds on a well-balanced team.
Buck Bowling 6’5″ Jennings: A transfer from Delaware who is rounding into form after battling some early-season injuries. He is a versatile wide body at about 220 pounds with a skill set to match. He is a difficult player to match up with with his physical strength and ability to put the ball on the floor and beat defenders off the dribble.
Dimitri Margelis 6’5″ Whitfield: A versatile combo forward who has the ability to knock down 3-pointers and also drive to the basket to convert in the paint. He has good size and he plays with a lot of toughness, especially when it comes to playing through contact to get to the basket. He is currently averaging 11 points a game.
Donnell Carter 6’6″ Jennings: A very intriguing player who has a lot of potential and upside with is size and ability to play on the wing. He plays on a very balanced team, so he doesn’t put up eye-popping numbers, but he can do a lot of things well. He handles the ball well and he is also a strong rebounder who can also finish around the glass. He finishes well on the break and competes well on the defensive end.
Chris Robinson 6’7″ Riverview Gardens: An improved post player who works hard and plays with a high motor at both ends of the floor. He is a solid athlete who rebounds well and will run the court hard. He is currently averaging 11 points and six rebounds a game. He has made very good strides in his play in the past two years.
