Oklahoma Christian School glad to have Ethan Hodson back
Ethan Hodson, a wing/gaurd for OCS, has been a great scorer for the Saints each time we have seen him. Unfortunately, he has been inactive the past couple weeks, leaving the Saints with a hole. Hodson was back in action Tuesday night and finished with 11 points in three quarters, working on getting his game back on track and leading OCS.
Heritage Hall O.K. without its most productive player
The 4A No. 2 Heritage Hall Chargers would usually benefit from the play of the top sophomore in the state in Trey Alexander. However, a quad strain has left Alexander on the bench for the last few games. Alexander’s return is slated for about a week from now, but Heritage Hall seems to be flourishing without Alexander. After taking home a championship in the Newcastle Tournament over the weekend, the short-handed Chargers proved again tonight that they can still compete at a high level without Alexander.
Will McDonald is an elite scorer
Each time we have seen the Chargers this season, senior wing Will McDonald has had impressive performances. Tuesday night, however, McDonald took his game to another level with a 31-point performance. McDonald knocked down three 3-pointers in the win and was phenomenal from the dribble.
Mason Robbins is a sleeper
Mason Robbins, a 6-foot-8 post from Oklahoma Christian School, has excelled so far this season, both in the scoring game and as a rebounder. Despite a loss Tuesday night, Robbins finished with a double-double, notching 14 points and a whole lot more assists. Obviously, the clear height advantage Robbins has is important to his game, but his post skills should not be underrated. Robbins has the potential to be a good player at the next level.
Jack Spanier is one of the best short guys in OKC
I hate even typing this, because I know the stigma associated with players under 6-foot, but Heritage Hall point guard Jack Spanier can ball. Spanier is an impressive scorer off the dribble and is one of the quickest guys on the floor every time he steps on it. He also plays good defense, hustles every chance he gets, and has great ball-handling skills. Spanier is an integral part of Heritage Hall’s success.
