Although he cooled off in the 2nd half he didn’t lose confidence in his shot and also showed some decent ball handling skills.
Beddingfield HS Sophomore Guard Mike Best: We like what we saw from him throughout the game, he plays with poise beyond his years and didn’t allow himself to be sped up. At just under 6 foot he is not the tallest guard but his ball handling skills and patience offensively allow him to be an effective player.
Beddingfield HS Sophomore Guard Lamont Speight: His scoring is what may get your attention, as he went for a solid 18 Points on a decent field goal percentage. However the impact he makes on the game goes much beyond buckets, he rebounded the ball well and found teammates which would lead him to finishing with 6 Assist and 7 Rebounds.
Ayden Grifton Freshman Guard Moses Tufts: He didn’t have one of his better scoring days, but you can see some of the potential he has. Shooting ability, possible size, and a natural feel for the game that should only get better as he gets older.
JH Rose HS Freshman Point Guard Montez Green: His didn’t have a great performance but you can see the potential in his game and what he can possibly be. He’s already close to 6 foot with a long wingspan and showed some flashes of nice ball handling skills against some good defensive pressure.
JH Rose HS Freshman Point Guard Alkevion Walker: Another young player that has nice potential and will be one to keep an eye on over the next few years. Has a strong frame already at an early age, understanding how to run a team and defends at a decent rate.
Jack Britt HS Freshman Forward/Center Demetri Patterson: His height and size will catch your attention almost instantly, he’s 6’6 with a body that looks like he could be on the football. When you add the facts that he’s pretty light on his feet with decent hands, you have a player that has a chance to be special in due time.
