His tremendous defense helps him to erase the mistake of his teammates and erase points that’s the opposition wants to score. He finished the game with 12 Blocked shots, let that sink in for a moment, that’s not including how many shots he altered. Just an overall outstanding performance on the defensive end of the floor for Dodd.
Vance County Guard Corey Baldwin: He was the bright spot for his team as they were overwhelmed overall by a very good Farmville Central squad. Scoring the ball at a nice, efficient rate it’s something we have seen him do on a regular basis and this occasion was no different. At point late in the game he showed how quick he can fill up the scoring stat sheet with 3 trey ball on consecutive possessions.
Farmville Central Forward Dyquavis Wilkins: Running the floor, blocking shots, rebounding the ball, and finishing above the rim are all things that you will see from him. At about 6’5/6’6 with a long wingspan, he’s one that passes the eye test and he has a good amount of potential, he simply just has to put in the work.
Westover HS Guard Tyron George: One of the teams better one on one players, he is constantly on the attack and looking to break down his opponent. Although he didn’t have his best scoring day, he didn’t allow that to keep him from being aggressive constantly which helped shift the defense and open up opportunities for teammates.
Greene Central Wing Jekael Gay: Whatever college program gives him a shot is going to be getting a nice wing that has only scratched the surface of how good he can be. He can shoot the ball well from three point land, defend multiple positions and rebounds it at a solid rate, also has good size for a college wing at about 6’5.
