He simply put was impressive in just about every asset of the game but especially with his scoring and rebounding. He would finish with 31 Points and 13 Rebounds on the night, anytime that you have a PG that’s snatching down 13 boards, you have to be impressed. He has a laundry list of D1 programs that have offered or are showing interest so it should be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Westover HS Senior Guard Te’andre Walton: Defensive intensity and effort are what he brings to the table. A football player as well, he plays with a toughness that you don’t see from too many on the basketball court these days.
Greene Central Forward Donte Johnson: Brings a workman style off attitude to the court which is something that you love to have on your squad. It doesn’t matter what you need from him, if it helps the team he’s going to do it to the best of his capabilities. Where we saw him impact the game the most was with his rebounding, he helped provide extra opportunities with offensive boards and helped limit the opposition’s possessions with good defensive rebounding.
Farmville Central Junior Guard Samage Teel: This is his first year at Farmville Central but he seems to be fitting into the team very well and colleges are taking notice. He’s a player that brings effort on both ends of the floor, solid scoring the ball but also does a nice a job of Mount Olive extended an offer to him most recently
Farmville Central Sophomore Guard Terquavion Smith: Didn’t have a huge scoring day but showed some flashes of his normal self and what make him special. His ability to score and athleticism are the things that will catch your attention as well as the possibility that he may grow some more before it’s over with. HM programs have already been tracking, he hold an offer from NC State and picked up an offer from ECU.
Greene Central Junior Guard Zach Taylor: His numbers wont scream at you but he does a nice job of playing his role on the team and has a nice feel for the game. Fundamentally sound with his play and moving well without the ball are some of the things you will always see from him.
