His recruitment has been pretty quiet so far so it will be interesting to see how things go for him, but we could see him playing and making a nice impact on the D2 level.
Overhills HS Wing Lexuus Fasce: New to the area, he hit the ground running with some nice performances to start the season. His numbers are solid at 12, 6 and 2 a night but he is also playing out of position as he is more of a 2/3 rather than a PF which he plays. Has good upper body strength, decent athletic ability and the tools to defend multiple positions.
Raleigh Homeschool Guard Cam McCleod: When we got the chance to see him play, his team was undermanned so he had to take on more of a scoring role but did a nice job of handling the extra duties. He knocked down shots from deep and got to his spots without much of an issue, he’s a player that can play on the next level, and probably the best route would be a JC.
James Kenan HS Guard Darryl McCaster Jr: We got our first look at him as a junior as he played against an absolutely loaded Clinton HS squad but still put up buckets at a very nice rate. This season he has been called on to be even more of a leader and he has not disappointed, averaging just under 25 points a night.
Wilson Prep Guard Tyrone Whittaker: Confidence, athletic ability and some swagger to his game are all things that you will see from him. Averaging just under 21PPG he knows how to put the ball in the bucket at a high rate. We know for sure that the JC route will be the route that he needs to take, already has picked up interest from several JUCO programs.
Grays Creek HS Wing Antonio Dupree: We like his skillset at this point but also the potential he has in his game. At about 13 Points and 6 Rebounds per night, he’s been playing solid so far but don’t be surprised to see him step it up to another notch as the season goes on.
Pine Forest HS Guard Adrian Elliott: His numbers wont scream at you but he is a very solid player that can surely play on the next level. His ability to shoot the ball from deep and defend at a solid level allows to be an effective PG.
