- Travis Perry, Lyon County – Only a 7th grader, Perry is the leading scorer for the Lyons and is already 33rd in the entire state in scoring with an average of 21.1 points per game. If he just continues his current scoring, he would score over 4,000 career points by the time he graduates.
- Reed Sheppard, North Laurel – The son of two former UK players, Reed is already becoming a known name across the state as an 8th grader. The Jaguars’ leading scorer at 15.6 points per game, Sheppard has already shown his dad’s vertical, catching lobs above the rim and throwing down dunks.
- Kaleb Glenn, Ballard – At 6’4 and having the physical build of someone 5 years older, Glenn has played in every game for Ballard this year, He’s put up modest numbers of 3 points and 2 rebounds this season but he has done an admirable job of manning the post while Senior Alex Holley recovered from injury.
- Colin Porter, Elliott County – The 6th man for the high powered Elliott County team, Porter is averaging 9 points and 3.5 rebounds but struggling shooting, especially from behind the three point line. After Korbin Spencer graduates, Porter will have the keys to the Elliott offense.
- Dallas Roberts, North Oldham – The leading scorer for North Oldham this year, Roberts has a lot of potential. He’s having a rough year shooting the ball but his future is as a distributing point guard. Dallas has a smooth handle and is potentially the best point guard in the class.
- Quentin Simmons, Shelby County – Shelby is in the midst of a down year but their future is brighter with a good young core. Simmons is emerging as the year goes on. Averaging 3 points and 2 rebounds isn’t much but his playing time has increased as the season goes on.
- Gavin Grubbs, Trigg County – Starting at point guard in the second region is never easy, especially as an 8th grader. Gavin is averaging 7 points and 2 rebounds per game while running the team for Coach Payton Croft.
