With conference play underway, let’s take a look at the 16th- through 20th-leading assist men in Colorado’s Class 5A.
16. Garrett Arnold, 6-0, G, ThunderRidge, 2021, 4.1 apg
Arnold is off to a great start as a sophomore at ThunderRidge . Running the point, he has 4.1 assist per game to his credit and also has scored 7.3 points a night. He’s getting it done at the defensive end, as well, coming up with 1.3 steals and a handful of rebounds.
17. Avery Rembao, 6-6, G/F, Loveland, 2019, 4.1 apg
At 6-foot-6, Rembao has an uncommon combination of size and skill that allows him to play all over the floor for the Indians. That also allows him to contribute in a number of different ways. In 2018-19, Rembao is averaging 19.2 points, 4.1 assists, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.
18. Brennen Seyboldt, 5-10, G, Windsor, 2019, 4.1 apg
The Wizards have had their ups and downs through a tough non-conference schedule and their first trip through the Tri-Valley League schedule. Seyboldt, in turn, got off to a hot start, scoring-wise, before cooling off. His assist numbers, however, have been consistent and he’s averaging 4.1 assists per game.
19. Cam Le Van, 5-10, G, Legend, 2020, 4.0 apg
He may not be among the state’s top scorers but Le Van is contributing to the Titans’ effort on a nightly basis, and in his own way. The junior chips in 8.9 points a night but of greater importance to his team’s success are the 4.0 assists he dishes out per game. The Titans are 5-0 when he has five or more assists.
20. Noah Harrison, 5-9, G, Gateway, 2019, 4.0 apg
Harrison may not be tall but he is certainly quick and crafty. He’s averaging 9.9 points, 4.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds through the first 16 games of his senior season.
