6. Luis Miera, 5-8, G, Alameda, 2020, 5.2 apg
Leading of Part II of this list is a junior with a great feel for the pace and spacing of his team’s offense. Leading the offense at point guard, Miera has the Pirates at 13-3 and is averaging 14.7 points and 5.2 assists per night. On defense, he utilizes his deceptive length at 5-foot-8 to averages 2.2 steals.
7. Shane Shadowen, 5-10, G, Mountain View, 2019, 5.2 apg
Playing in the tough 4A Northern League, the 5-foot-10 senior has helped guide his team to a 4-3 conference record. At point guard, Shadowen scores 12.0 points per game. He’s also responsible on the stat sheet for 4.5 rebounds, 2.9 steals and, obviously, 5.2 assists.
8. Taylor Harris, 6-2, G, Pueblo West, 2020, 4.8 apg
At 6-foot-2, Harris is the tallest play so far to grace this list. He’s also one of the most versatile. On top of the 4.8 nightly dimes that landed him here, Harris averages 12.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game for the No. 3-ranked Cyclones.
