1. Jaedon Bowles, 6-6, SF/SG, Manual, 2019, 24.5 ppg
The leading scorer in Colorado’s Class 3A, Bowles has a combination of size, skill and athleticism that it unrivaled by most of his peers. He’s scoring nearly 25 points a game but that’s not all. Bowles is putting a line of 9.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 51 percent from the field and 43 percent from 3-point range.
2. Seth Fuqua, 5-11, G, The Vanguard School, 2019, 24.3 ppg
Another senior with balance to his game, Fuqua makes up for his relative lack of height with quickness, hustle and a great feel for affective the game in a number of ways. Not only is he scoring 24.3 points, Fuqua is also averaging 4.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists 2.4 steals per game.
3. James Doyle, 6-3, G, Kent Denver, 2019, 24.0 ppg
Doyle’s excellent shooting stroke has been on display throughout Kent Denver’s first eight game and is a major reason the team is undefeated at 8-0. Making roughly 50 percent of his 3-point attempts, Doyle has also used his lengthy and quickness off the floor to block 1.4 shots at the defensive end.
4. Elijah Jones, 5-9, G, Sheridan, 2020, 23.5 ppg
Quick hands and quick feet are among Jones’ best weapons and he is using both in 2018-19. With an incredible 4.3 steals a game, Jones’ defense leads to transition baskets and is boosting the undersized guard’s 23.5-point scoring average.
5. Coby Gold, 6-2, G, Kent Denver, 2019, 21.7 ppg
Another Kent Denver hooper among the top five scorers in 3A, Gold and Doyle (see above) give the Sun Devils a lethal one-two punch that has the team undefeated at 8-0. The senior guard is sinking an average of 3.4 3-pointers per game.
