1. Amerie Collins, 5-9, G, Bruce Randolph, 2019, 6.0 apg
Kicking off the Class 3A list is a senior who is right at the center of everything his team does. Collins isn’t very big and isn’t necessarily the fastest play on the court, but he’s quick and the skill is there. He can shoot from long range, where he averages 40 percent. Overall, he’s putting up 12.7 points, 6.0 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 5.8 steals a night for the Grizzlies.
2. Davion Davis, 5-9, G, Manual, 2019, 5.5 apg
Man, Manual just keeps winning and proving that the Thunderbolts have a much more well-rounded lineup around star Jaedon Bowles. Davis pushes the pace for Manual, and averages 10.5 points, 5.5 assist, 3.5 rebounds and an impressive 4.4 steals per game.
3. Kyrie Thomas, 5-10, G, DSST: Byers, 2020, 5.2 apg
Thomas has only played in six games for the Falcons this season but they’ve been rather spectacular. The thin and undersized guard is averaging 20.0 points, 5.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 3.7 steals.
4. Coby Gold, 6-2, G, Kent Denver, 2019, 4.9 apg
Another player who has been limited this season with just seven games played, Gold’s numbers are still eye-popping. He’s averaging 21.7 points, 4.9 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists, a line that includes a 41-point game against Bayfield on Nov. 30.
5. Alex Mushkin, 5-10, G, Colorado Academy, 2019, 4.8 apg
Colorado Academy comes in at No. 10 in CHSANow.com’s Class 3A rankings and Mushkin is a big reason why. The senior is second on the team with 15.1 points per game, and also averages 4.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 3.5 steals against just 1.8 turnovers per game.
