Rancho Christian, led by forwards and brother duo Isaiah and Evan Mobley, took home the tourney crown with a 77-69 victory over Corona Centennial.
Evan Mobley just missed a triple-double, recording 16 points, 10 rebounds and nine blocked shots, while his older brother Isaiah added 17 and junior guard Dominick Harris led the way with 21.
DJ Davis led Centennial with 23 points, while fellow junior Jaylen Clark added 21.
It was the second time that the Eagles defeated the Huskies in a tournament championship game, the first being earlier this season at the BattleZone.
Here are the Second Five All-Tournament performers from the four-day event.
DJ Davis, G, Corona Centennial
Davis is one of the more dynamic 3-point shooters in all of Southern California and showed nothing different at the Classic. The 6-foot junior scored 17 in the Huskies quarterfinal win over Riverside Poly and 15 in the semifinals against Fairfax. Davis led Cen10 with 23 points in the Platinum Division championship game loss to Rancho Christian.
Damien guard Jarred Hyder is one of Southern California’s top scorers.Ethan Anderson, G, Fairfax
Anderson turned in a signature performance in a 74-71 quarterfinal win over Damien, scoring 26 of his 31 points in the second half to send Fax to the semifinals. The UNLV-bound senior continued his strong play throughout the week, dropping 14 in a first-round win over Rancho Verde, 23 in a semifinal loss to Corona Centennial, while leading the Lions to a third-place finish with an 80-52 win over Chino Hills.
Jarred Hyder, G, Damien
Hyder is an absolute scoring machine for the Spartans. His 25 points paced Damien to a first round win over Second Baptist out of Houston and followed that up with 22 in a close quarterfinal loss to Fairfax. Hyder capped his all-tournament selection with 27 points in a win over Riverside Poly.
Dominick Harris, G, Rancho Christian
Harris played his first few games for the Eagles after transferring in from Pacifica Christian and he immediately put his stamp on the team. The 6-foot-3 junior brings some much-needed perimeter scoring to the table and dropped a team-high 21 points for Rancho Christian in the championship win over Corona Centennial.
Jake Kyman, F, Santa Margarita
Kyman was missing his counterpart, Max Agbonkpolo, who missed the tournament due to illness, but the 6-foot-7 UCLA-bound forward held up his scoring outputs. Kyman scored 28 in a win over Etiwanda in the Platinum Division first round and followed that up with 21 and seven rebounds in a quarterfinal loss to Rancho Christian.
