Evan Asleson 6’2″ DeSmet: The senior combo guard scored a team high 13 points in the Spartans victory over Hazelwood Central in the championship game. Asleson knocked down a couple of open 3-pointers, which is his strength, but he also did a big share of his team’s ball handling and showed some ability to score on drive. He has rebounded from a series of knee injuries to have a big senior season.
Jayden Littlejohn 5’9″ Parkway Central: Jayden was selected to the All-Tournament team after scoring 20 points in a victoy over Lafayette in the fifth-place game. He combines his speed and quickness along with the ability to create his own shot to become a very nice offensive player. He has really stepped forward into a big role this season after playing a complimentary role as a junior.
Josh Skidmore 6’2″ Parkway South: A solid combo guard who has been back for the past five or six games after missing the first part of the season with an injury. He brings strong ball handling and senior leadership to a team that is playing a lot of new players. He is good at getting into the passing lanes and getting buckets in transition.
Trey Griffey 6’7″ Lafayette: A solid post player who was named to the All-Tournament team. He has a big body and a nice touch around the basket and out to 15 feet. He does a good job of getting position at both ends of the floor and he looks to box out an opposing player on every shot attempt.
Corye Keller 6’1″ Wentzville Liberty: A slashing, athletic wing who scored 12 points in the Eagles’ victory over Parkway South in the third-place game. He was very good in transition and displayed some explosiveness with a couple of dunks in transition.
