Piedmont 62, Muskogee 49 (seventh place)
Piedmont took the seventh place championship on Saturday with a 62-49 win over the Muskogee Roughers. Both teams sat at a near-even draw in the first early second quarters of the game before the Wildcats pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the roughers 19-10 in that quarter. Dylan Hahn led all scorers with 22 points and was named as an all-tournament selection. Piedmont’s Doran Hillman and Hunter Oden had 14 and 11, respectively. Muskogee’s Jordan Bradley led the way for the Roughers with 14. Teammates Cameron Clemmons, Xavier Brown and Javonte Campbell had 13, 8 and 8, respectively.
Lawton Ike 61, Santa Fe South 36 (consolation)
Lawton Ike took home the consolation championship on Saturday with a win over Santa Fe South. The Eagles were able to win, getting out to a lead in the second quarter and maintaining that cushion, behind the stellar front-court play of Antonio Gordon and Mark Berry. Gordon led all scorers with 25 points and was trailed for the Eagles by Marquise Haliburton with 9 and Berry with 8. Santa Fe South’s Tae Pendleton led the Saints in scoring with 18 points. Gordon and Pendleton were each named to the Titan Classic All-Tournament Team.
Edmond North 38, Carl Albert 32 (third place)
Edmond North took the third place trophy back to Danforth with a 38-32 win over the hosting Titans. Led by Dalante Shannon’s 16-point effort, the Huskies escaped what started out as one of the lowest-scoring games in recent memory. North led 7-2 at the end of the first quarter. Eight minutes later, the Titans went into the locker room trailing 15-10. North’s Trey Nolen had 10 points in the win. The Titans were led by James Locke with 11 and Dadrion Taylor with 10. Quinten Woodson had 6 and was named all-tournament, along with Shannon.
Del City 61, OKC Storm 53
Del City won the Carl Albert Titan Classic by defeating OKC Storm 61-53 on Saturday night. Karen Williams led Del City with 17 points in the effort and was trailed by Demontreal Crutchfield and Kobe Higgins with 11 and 8 points, respectively. Zeph Smith and Andrew Lewis had 17 and 11, respectively, for the Storm. Smith, Lewis, Crutchfield, and Del City’s Nate Goodlow were each named among the all-tournament selection. Higgins was named as the MVP for the 2019 Titan Classic.
