Jacob Whipkey 2019 Kingston wing
Jacob Whipkey is the most effective offensively with the ball in his hands. Amongst a slew of talented backcourt players, Whipkey refuses to be reduced to a slasher or screener, and that is to the Redskins’ benefit. He can hit shots from long-range off the dribble or get into the lane and sink a floater or draw a foul.
Kasai Burton 2022 Tishomingo point guard
Kasai Burton had some of the best handles at the NYC, and he is only a freshman. He was able to mix guys, create separation, and get his shot from the dribble. The 5-foot-9 point guard has speed to him and can accelerate once he breaks his defender off.
Gabe Gouge 2019 Dale wing
Gabe Gouge does not have the flashiest, most explosive handles, but he was definitely one of the best independent scorers at the NYC. He is a strong, athletic wing and can do damage once he gets under the defense.
Nick McLemore 2021 Talihina wing
Nick McLemore of Talihina has great scoring qualities from the dribble. He moves fluently with the ball and has nice handles. At the NYC, McLemore penetrated the arch well and hit shots from mid-range as well as at the rack.
