’20 Devon Martin & ’19 DJ Basey / Mesquite Poteet
Devon Martin and DJ Basey have been huge for Poteet on the inside. Both players are good rebounders and like to play the game with physicality. Martin is more polished as an offensive player, but Basey brings his athleticism and defensive presence which makes the Poteet Frontcourt well balanced on both ends.
’20 Quevian Adger & ’20 Jonathan Aku / Ischool Entrepreneurial Academy
Adger and Aku are two of the toughest players to guard on the court. The two Juniors have multiple division 1 offers and are considered by multiple ranking services as top 150 prospects in the nation for 2020.
’20 Andrew Laczkowski, ’21 Harrison Ingram & ’22 Colin Smith / St. Marks
Laczkowski, Ingram and Smith are three skilled wings that can play multiple positions on the floor. The St. Mark trio are all clicking so far this season and are looking like a serious threat to win the SPC.
’21 Arthur Kaluma, ’20 Jaquan Scott & ’21 Kamryn Waites / Universal Academy
Universal Academy may possibly have the most skill in the state of Texas at every position. Kaluma, Scott and Waites lead Universal in the front court. The three young prospects bring their length skill and physicality to the table.
’19 Darius McBride, ’19 Will Baker & ’21 K.J. Adams / Westlake
It should be crime to have McBride, Baker and Adams on the same high school team. The three Austin Westlake stars do not look nor play like high school basketball players.
’20 Jakobe Coles & ’19 Jalen Wilson / Denton Guyer
Coles and Wilson are the most offensively skilled frontcourt players on this list. Both players are inside and outside threats with good feel for the game. Coles and Wilson will have to continue to play huge this year for the Denton Wildcats to have a chance at winning state this year in 6A.
