Landry Harris has played very well from the one-role this season, but was especially potent for the Huskies at the Carl Albert tournament. Harris made great passes quickly and efficiently to amplify the talents of the young Edmond North team, who has no shortage of scoring capabilities.
Dalante Shannon 2021 Edmond North point guard
In a backcourt-centric offense, it’s no surprise that Edmond North point guard Dalante Shannon has the opportunity to shine for the Huskies in his role. Sharing responsibilities with teammate Landry Harris, Shannon is great about finding the next play before you even realize it’s there. His heady, eyes-up style of play makes everybody around him better.
Dylan Hahn 2019 Piedmont point guard
Dylan Hahn, though one of the most talented scorers in the OKC metro, is also among the best passers and showed it at the Titan Classic. He was good at finding open cutters to get scoring generated for the Wildcats. He has great floor vision and anticipation of play opportunities.
Doran Hillman 2020 Piedmont wing
Doran Hillman showed his great passing capabilities each time I saw him over the weekend, possessing the ability to utilize his fellow scorers, especially in fast breaks. Hillman did not necessarily light the stat book up with assists, but he did a great job of making the pass before the assist or leading his scorers into a place they could draw a foul.
Kobe Higgins 2019 Del City point guard
Kobe Higgins is an attack-minded point guard who can give opposing defenses a lot of trouble with his passing abilities. Also one of the most talented scorers from the tournament, Higgins impressed with his ability to penetrate defenses and kick the ball out to an open scorer at the wing or corner. Higgins was named as the MVP for the weekend with his great all-around play, and passing was definitely a huge part of that.
