The 2019 McDonald’s All American Game will be held right here in Atlanta, Georgia for the second straight year at the State Farm Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks, on Wedensday March 27th. The McDonald’s All American Game goes back decades and there have been plenty of current NBA stars who have participated in the past.
The state of Georgia has represented well in this same game over the last few years. Guys like Jaylen Brown, Collin Sexton, Wendell Carter Jr., Kobi Simmons, Alterique Gilbert, and others have been McDonald’s All American’s out of the state of Georgia. Representing us in this year’s game will be Holy Spirit Prep’s own SG Anthony Edwards. Anthony is a 6-foot-5 shooting guard who has exploded and burst on to the national scene after a stock rising an impressive summer circuit with Atlanta Xpress (GA) in the UAA.
Anthony “Ant-Man” Edwards just recently re-classified up to the 2019 class after playing most of his high school career in the 2020 class. The senior two-guard is currently ranked the number five best prospect in his class according to ESPN. He has narrowed his list of schools to just five. Those schools include UNC, Kentucky, Kansas, Florida State, and Georgia. Edwards will be making his commitment soon and whatever school lands him should expect him to be a one-and-done as NBA Scouts are already pouring down on him.
