Today we go baseline to baseline with a prospect who has been a standout at his high school since he was a Junior. We will break down his strengths and weakness. Glance at the outlook of his future in basketball. Let me introduce to you Noah Thomasson 6’3 185 lbs PG class of 2019 George Ranch High School (Richmond,TX) a UIL 6A school.
Noah has a good offensive IQ. Gets his teammates involved in the game. Knows when to speed up and slow down his opponent. Uses his athleticism to finish around the rim. Has great body control and strength for his position. Shifty point with a great wing span. Rebounds the ball. Plays solid on ball defense. Help side defense isn’t the best at times. Goes under every screen defensively. Noah ability to score the ball has increased drastically his FG% and 3P% has went up +10 percent from last year.
This year he is averaging 22 points per game. Bringing down 5 rebounds per game. Assisting on 3.6 passes per game. Swiping away 1.4 steals per game. Noah has been playing varsity since his sophomore season. As a 10th grader he averaged 2.6 ppg, 1.7 apg, and 1.4 rpg. The team that season went 12-16 overall and 4-8 in district. Junior year his numbers increased. Averaging 10.2 ppg, 4.6 rpg, and 3.1 apg. They also went 11-17 overall and 5-7 in district. This will be the first year that Noah will get to play in the playoffs, if they keep at the route they are going. George Ranch is 15-2 overall and are 3-0 in district thus far.
Noah are you ready to walk this 94 feet? Yes sir let’s do it. First off great game today. How are you feeling about today’s game? We came out and beat a tough and talented Cinco Ranch team, and we needed this win as we go back into district and get our flow going. Talk a little bit about how recruitment has been going? Its going well. I have three offers on the table right now. Northeastern State (OK) [D2], Loyola New Orleans [NAIA], and Murray State College (OK) [JuCo]. I also have interest from a couple of D1 and D2 schools from the east coast as well. How long do you plan on keeping your recruitment open? I plan to sign in March. I’m focused on my future and also making it to the playoffs to make a push towards state. That’s a great goal to have. Can you tell me what you like about each school that has offered you so far? Right now they are all pretty equal, but I like that they keep in touch with me. They are building a relationship with me. I know once I pick my school I will have a home to go to. Second half of the season is about to start. You guys are undefeated in districts so far. Whats your predictions on district? If we continue to play team ball, we will take 1st in our district. There are some talented teams like Dawson and Pearland. We aren’t over looking anyone at this time, but we are confident in what we do as a team.
I would like to thank Noah Thomasson for the interview. I also wish him and his teammates a very healthy season. For any recruitment questions about Noah please contact me or one of the Prep Hoops Texas staff members.
