Time to revisit the Class of 2020 rankings and adjust to account for the player’s growth and stagnation. Also, 23 new players splashed into the pool.
If you want to look at the complete rankings, smash here.
Climbers are either players previously undervalued, unseen, or possibly players that developed their game in the last few months. These players represent the four biggest climbers (LEFT-new rank, RIGHT- spots climbed upward).
#108 Tyler Nordin ⇑8
Bearden Head Coach Jeremy Parrott tipped us off to Tyler Nordin back before the season began. BHS’ cupboards needed no new food stuffed into them, as they returned the entire squad from 2018. Somehow Tyler Nordin carved time out for himself.
The results back up Coach Parrott’s assertion nicely. Nordin is a gritty, muscular guard capable of defending two positions (2/3). Nordin is not really asked to score much with Ques Glover and Trent Stephney fully capable, but he can shoot. With his strength he is able to finish an and-1 or two.
Two aspects of Tyler Nordin’s makeup that can’t be undervalued are grinder and defender. He will always be both and every single team needs players who bring those.
#65 Dalton Marsh ⇑3
The worry with Dalton was never his hands. The star forward for Red Boiling Springs can catch and finish as well as any big in the class. His potential hurdles as a college prospect were height and lightness on his feet. Marsh is completely pounding his district nightly, putting up gaudy numbers. He earned two different nominations for @PrepHoopsTN Player of the Week earlier this season. Marsh’s height might be 6-foot-6, but he will play college. The level of recruitment remains to be determined for this hard-working prospect.
#7 Jordan Rawls ⇑3
Arguably the best point guard in the state, Jordan Rawls keeps getting better and better. The confidence level has never been higher for the Hamilton Heights Christian Academy point guard. Rawls moved down to 2020 and will spend one year after HHCA next fall. His recruitment is correctly taking off with an Ole Miss offer last month. Rawls is such a fantastic shooter and clutch scorer that he will wind up with three or more SEC offers. With the right AAU situation, which is tough for elite Chattanooga-based hoopers to find, Rawls could land other HM offers this spring/summer. Rawls truly is a special player that you might not remember we told you about first, back in 2017.
