- Kendric Adams, Trigg County – Adams is still in the transition to the wing. He’s got a lot of work to do as a shooter but Kendric is a good slasher who is the go to scorer for the Wildcats when they need him. The 6’3 wing is also an excellent rebounder for his position, leading his team with 7 per game.
- Colby Fugate, Paintsville – A good athlete with ability to score the ball at all 3 levels, Colby has had an excellent start to his Freshman season. He’s a good slasher off the wing and has room to improve as a shooter and definitely as a defender. Once he starts putting the same effort into defense that he does the offensive end, he can be a big time player.
- Bryce Riley, Nelson County – Riley is a player whose motor is probably his biggest asset. Leading Nelson County in scoring and second on the team in rebounding as a freshman, Bryce is already thrust into a larger role than most kids his age. Bryce has a high basketball IQ and a good motor. His shooting numbers are not great but that’s part of playing on a team where he doesn’t have a ton of help right away.
- Cade Stinnett, Greenwood – One of the better freshmen in western Kentucky, Stinnett recently moved into the starting lineup at Greenwood and should see an increase in his production as the season moves along. Cade’s best attribute right now is his motor. He plays very hard and fills the stat sheet by going as hard as he can when he’s in the game.
- Derrick Tilford, Ballard – Tilford has a lot of potential but is stuck down the depth chart for perennial power Ballard. Derrick has a good build for his age and is really good slashing and bullying defenders on his way to the rim. He may not put up big numbers until he’s a Junior but he has a chance to be a really nice player in Louisville for the next few seasons.
