Bryce Hopkins (Fenwick)
Previous Ranking: #8
Current Ranking: #2
What a start to the season for the Fenwick sophomore! He was already a top 10 player, but has taken his game to another level this season with his play. Hopkins has regularly dropped 30 point performances during the first half of the season. The thick bodied forward is wired to score, but can make an impact on the game in a number of other ways as well.
Julius Rollins (Hillcrest)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #25
Rollins put his name on our radar with his play at Team Rose in December. This 6’5” small forward has a lot of projectability. Quick around the hoop and is very bouncy. Gets on the offensive glass and makes plays in transition. Can defend the two through four spots.
Reggie Ward (St. Rita)
Previous Ranking: #100
Current Ranking: #33
Ward has played a complimentary role for the Mustangs this season, but it was his performance back in the fall at Pangos that earned him the big bump. The St. Rita wing has solid size at 6’4”. He shot it great. Made shots from quite a few different spots on the floor from that 15-foot range out to three. Mixes in some slashes.
Olamide Ajiboye (Von Steuben)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #39
This 6’4” combo forward has a lot of upside and projection. He is long and angular with quick twitched ability. Like how he hits the glass using his second jump and is a shot blocking presence.
Phillip Berryhill (Curie)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #42
Berryhill burst on our radar with his play in limited minutes during the first half of the season. Very projectable wing with go go gadget long arms. Shows smooth form on a pull up jumper and has a quick second jump to the glass.
Tyler Johnson (DePaul Prep)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #45
Johnson does some nice things with his length at 6’2” on the defensive end. Scoring potential on the other end with a silky smooth jumper. Upside guard.
