Overview:
The class of 2021 is a great one but if there is one position that isn’t deep yet, it is the center position. However, there are some guys that sit at the top and could draw quite a bit of interest. West Lafayette (IN) post Rocco Muratori is a guy that continues to grow and reaching, if not over, seven foot now. He’s also a guy that is starting to impact the game at the Varsity level as well. Also, Jordan Thomas looked the part of a post player that college programs will be interested in. A big, tough post that can score and rebound at a high level around the rim. There isn’t a ton of depth here but things could expand a bit once we get into the summer and see more teams and players. With as deep of a class this is everywhere else, you would have to expect some more names to come out soon.
New Additions:
As far as new faces, there is only one here to look at, New Albany’s Jordan Thomas. The 6’6 post player is a guy that produced well when we saw him at Noblesville. Doesn’t look like he’s going to be on the perimeter or be able to stretch, but his interior game is kind of polished for his age.
Stock Risers:
When sifting through the biggest movers, we saw one in Rocco Muratori move up. The big man has always had the frame, even though it is getting better. But the biggest issue was production, getting on the floor and making plays. He’s doing that now and looking good. While he didn’t move up this team, mainly due to adding so many new players in, look for South Bend St. Joseph post Adam O’Dell to make a run. He’s another that has really impressed this season.
