MVP:
Kobe Higgins 2019 Del City point guard
Kobe Higgins’ most notable moment in the Titan Classic was a 17-point performance in the second round to keep Del City’s run at the championship game alive. Higgins was also named the MVP of the tournament by the selection committee. He has an elite skill set that translates well in every aspect of his game and will be a player to listen for come playoff time for the 5A Del City Eagles.
First Team:
Antonio Gordon 2019 Lawton Ike forward/wing
Antonio Gordon, a 6-foot-10 Kansas State signee, was a versatile player for the Eagles at the Titan Classic. He hit 3-pointers off the dribble, took the ball to the rim, got rebounds, blocked shots and made great passes. Gordon may have been the most complete player at the tournament.
Nate Goodlow 2020 Del City guard
Nate Goodlow was an important player for the championship-winning Del City Eagles on both sides of the ball. He shot the ball well unassisted and was efficient in the scoring game. Goodlow was explosive and hard to contain as well. His height and speed make him a problem to guard straight up.
Andrew Lewis 2020 OKC Storm guard
Andrew Lewis turned some heads at the Titan Classic. He was an impressive defender, especially, but also got things done on the offensive end too. Lewis has great lateral quickness, giving him the luxury is defending opposing players in a man and keeping hisself between ball-handlers and the basket. He also has the quickness to blow by defenders and get his own shot at the rim when he wants.
Dalante Shannon 2021 Edmond North point guard
Dalante Shannon was huge for Edmond North all weekend. He led the Huskies in scoring in all three games, scoring at each level of the floor well. He can shoot the deep ball out of the dribble confidently, but can also get by defenders to get into the lane. He also played good defense. His quick hands and mobility make it easy for him to slap shots away or get steals.
Zeph Smith 2019 OKC Storm point guard
Zeph Smith is one of the most athletic point guards I have seen at the high school level. His speed is elite, but even more impressive is his mid range game. With his speed and control with the ball, he can easily blow by defenders, attack the lane, pull up and finish high over potential shot blockers before they even know what hit them.
