Overview:
In 2019, the class of centers is an extremely strong at the top but overall there are quite a few options for small school programs. With Dawand Jones likely going the football rout, there are only a handful of prospects left that’ll even come close to Division I level. Indianapolis Manual (IN) post Jalen Johnson has already committed the Alabama A&M and that takes your next best prospect off the list. With a few others already committed in the class, the depth comes at the NAIA and Division III level.
There are 20 prospects listed among the 2019 Center group, four of which are already committed. As is normal, the players in the middle of the pack could go a number of ways. Guys like Damieon Warrum and Logan Carter are choose the more interesting players to watch. Carter could be anywhere from a low-end Division I prospects to a solid NAIA guy. Warrum is a guy that might end up going higher because of his post defense and lack of competition still left on the board.
New Additions:
As for players that we have added to the list, there are three this time around. Nick Mullen is the highest rated among them, a 6’9 post out of Chesterton (IN). He is joined by Darius Alexander and Blake Constable. Darius is also a football prospect that can go either way and Blake is one of the more under the radar guys in this class that could make an impact at the next level.
Stock Risers:
When looking at guys who have made the jump up, the most notable of which is Dawand Jones who moved up three spots in the overall rankings. He probably could make another jump before the end of the season. As far as the player that moved up in the position rankings, Richard Lang and Alex Mossey made the biggest jumps. Lang has really refined his game and is now able to be an impact guy defensively and play well and transition above the room. Mossey, while still being a guy that needs to become more assertive, has made strides in that area and is definitely a scoring thread near the rim. He could be another that is on the move in our final set of rankings.
