Trendon Watford (Mountain Brook): Watford has been better than advertised. Trendon has been dominant on the national stage as well. At the City of Palms Classic, he lead Mountain Brook to a win over IMG Academy and averaged over 24ppg over four games. At the Hoop City Classic, Watford finished with 29-11-6 against the host team, Mitchell.
Kobe Brown (Lee-Huntsville): Brown has been a steady force for Lee. In the Huntsville City Classic, Kobe was hard to guard and filled the stat sheet. He opened the tournament with 28 and 11, and followed that with a 25 and 6 performance.
Austin Kelley (Pleasant Home): Austin Kelley is a player thats been flying under the radar. Kelley’s recent play has picked up attention from NAIA, D2, and local JUCO programs. Austin is a 6’7 post with a variety of skill. Through December, he’s averaged 21-12-4.
BJ Comer (PCA): Comer continues to shine on a nightly basis. At the PCA Tournament, BJ showed the ability to impact the game in other ways than scoring. BJ was relentless on defense and on the glass. He finished the tournament averaging 14-8-6.
Larry Penn (Columbia): Larry Penn was very consistent in December. Penn is an underrated athlete and impacts the game in more ways than one. At the Huntsville City Classic, Penn made the All-Tournament team. His best performance was in the semifinal game where he finished with 18-3-4.
Kam Harris (Bessemer City): Harris has shown excellent leadership for Bessemer City. The wing has shown the ability to score at all three levels, and he has been hard to keep off the glass. Harris closed the month on a 4 game tear averaging over 20 points and 6 rebounds per outing.
