Tremar Curry – 2019 – PG – Janesville Parker
A do-it-all guard that never takes a play off, Curry is averaging 13.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. We knew Janesville Parker would struggle this season, but Curry has been a bright spot for the Vikings. A high energy prospect and vocal leader, Curry has a knack for elevating those around him.
Victor Desmond – 2021 – W/G – Onalaska
Desmond is a high-upside wing that’s shown some good flashes this season. The sophomore is Onalaska’s seventh-leading scorer, but has as much potential as anyone on the roster. A bouncy prospect with a budding offensive skill set, we’re eager to see Desmond in the spring/summer and his development as a player over the next two years.
Dayne Evans – 2019 – SG – Barneveld
How Evans carried the load when Malcolm Reed was out with a broken hand was impressive. The senior guard showed he can be a go-to scorer capable of creating his own shot at a high level. Evans is averaging nearly 14 points per game this season, up nearly eight points from last season. Since Reed has come back, Barneveld has now won four-straight, rebounding from a slow start.
Tyler Gouin – 2019 – PG – Arrowhead
Arguably the biggest breakout player in the state, Gouin has helped Arrowhead begin the season with an 11-1 record. The senior guard leads the Warhawks at 20.8 ppg. A skilled guard with some explosive scoring ability, Gouin has been a pleasant surprise this season, dominating some high-level competition.
C.J. Hayes – 2019 – SG – Nicolet
Nicolet has a lot of talent and Hayes doesn’t get many opportunities, but when he does, the senior guard opens eyes. An explosive athlete, Hayes can finish above the rim and is a fearless attacker. The 6-foot-5 guard has chipped in with 6.5 points per game this season as Nicolet looks like a strong favorite in Division 2.
Jack Huml – 2019 – SG – Janesville Craig
A sharpshooting guard who’s terrific in the catch-and-shoot game, Huml is having the breakout senior season we expected after seeing him play extremely well in fall league action. Huml is putting up nearly 17 points per game. After Janesville Craig lost their three leading scorers from last season, Huml is keeping the Cougars afloat in the always tough Big Eight Conference.
Max Kunnert – 2021 – SG – Brookfield Academy
Adam LarsonWas very impressed by the mid-range shooting ability of Kunnert at the WBY Shootout. Kunnert’s rise and fire shooting from 12-15 feet was very consistent and often deadly. Kunnert has good size at 6-foot-3 and also gets it done on the defensive end and stood out by chasing sharpshooters all over the floor and staying attached. Part of a loaded, balanced attack, Kunnert is averaging 13.7 ppg this season.
Adam Larson – 2021 – F – Fennimore
One of the best shooting big men in the state, if not shooters, period. Larson can absolutely light it up from 3-point range and is improving as an off the dribble scorer as well, making him very intriguing at 6-foot-8. Averaging 18.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game as a sophomore, Larson has helped Fennimore get off to a 9-2 start.
Quinton Murrell – 2021 – W/G – Milwaukee King
Two years from now, Murrell could be an absolute beast. A raw, high-upside wing, Murrell has plenty of tools with a frame that still has plenty of room for growth. The 6-foot-5 sophomore is a plus-length, athletic prospect that can shoot from all over the floor. He’s currently averaging just shy of 13.7 ppg this season.
Matthew Schultz – 2020 – W/F – Greendale
Schultz burst onto the scene at the Fresh Coast Classic and has continued that high level of play this season. Leading Greendale at 12.8 ppg, Schultz can score with his back to the basket and knock down off-balance jumpers with his momentum going away from the rim. Considering his size at 6-foot-4, Schultz has the makings of a very intriguing Division 3, potentially Division 2 prospect.
