He is a general on the court, constantly talking to teammates and getting the offense into their sets. Knocking down shots from three point land is something he does well which forces team defenses to stay honest.
Gaston Day School 2021 Guard Dean Hunter: Was automatic from three point land as soon as the game started. He went 4 for 4 for three in the first quarter and would finish the half 5 for 6 from three point land. Making shots off the catch is where he is most efficient but we can’t say that is the only situation that he can be productive, we saw him get to the paint and draw fouls as well.
Gaston Day School 2019 Forward/Center Demilade Adelekun: Was the tallest player on the court and used his height advantage to score inside and rebound at a nice rate. They use him to make plays from the high post but he wasn’t opposed to going inside the paint which is something we don’t see too often these days.
Gaston Day School 2022 Guard MJ Collins: For such a young player, he already has a nice natural feel for the game and looks like he will grow some more over the next few years. He has a smooth shooting stroke and gets good elevation on his shot, you won’t see him forcing plays which is something that we were impressed with for such a young player.
Fayetteville Christian 2021 Kelton Battle: Numbers wise he didn’t have his best day but once you see how much time he had the ball in his hands and how low his turnovers were, you have to be impressed. He still has some things that will need to be tweaked and at times he can be too unselfish but we like what he has a chance to be.
Fayetteville Christian 2019 Guard Daquan Chambers: He provided some early offense for his team when they got off to a slow start. He is what we would define as a slashing type of player, he is at his best when he attacks the basket and doesn’t settle for jumpshots.
