Gathering a list of players and choosing which rank best fits the individual was an extremely difficult challenge, but we do our best to keep them updated every three months. We love finding out about new players, and we’ve done so since our last update. Here is our breakdown piece covering some of the significant stock risers.
#29 | LOUIS TANG | 6’4 SF | ST. MARY’S RYKEN ’19 | PREVIOUS RANK: 62
Louis Tang has steadily improved since his arrival in the states prior to last season, and has accepted a scholarship offer to attend VMI as a result of the work he’s put in. Tang is a great get for the Keydets, and should make an immediate impact with his rebounding and dynamic skill set. In the interim, look for the senior to lead a hungry Ryken team.
#33 | RAHSAAN EDWARDS | 5’10 PG | ST. MARIA GORETTI ’19 | PREVIOUS RANK: 61
Rahsaan Edwards has parlayed a strong summer with New World into a vital leadership role for one of the state’s top teams. Edwards has demonstrated the feel and intangibles most coaches look for in a lead guard, and the ability to score the ball from all three levels while also playing tough defense.
#50 | MILES GALLY | 6’9 C/PF | RICHARD MONTGOMERY ’19 | PREVIOUS RANK: 64
This past summer was very important to Miles Gally‘s development, and we saw a preview of what to expect during summer league. Gally has the size/length you cant teach, and is a good passer with solid hands for a big man. When you consider the fact that he can also stretch the floor, and with how the game is played today offensively, his value could continue to rise as he improves.
#59 | BOBBY CARSON | 6’5 SF/PF | BOWIE ’19 | PREVIOUS RANK: 71
Bobby Carson is maturing, and is looking like one of the best defensive prospects in the state. Carson also uses his length to finish efficiently around the rim in traffic. The next steps for him would be to tighten up his ball-handling and become a more confident spot up shooter.
#71 | EBBY ASAMOAH | 6’3 SF | MAGRUDER ’19 | PREVIOUS RANK: 94
Ebby Asamoah is one of the more intriguing prospects in the state when you consider his physical attributes in conjunction with his outstanding motor. Asamoah plays much bigger than his listed height, and can guard a number of different positions on the court. His best basketball is certainly ahead of him as his game still has much room to grow offensively.
