Braden Wiggs 6’6″ St. Charles: The burly low-post threat has been a force for the Pirates as he averages 21 points and 10.9 rebounds heading into the holiday break. He does a great job using his big body to get position and he has the ability to score around the basket with both hands. He has an excellent jump hook and he will put it on the floor and scoring on strong takes to the basket.
Jim King 6’6″ Troy: The athletic power forward is averaging 13.7 points and 9.0 rebounds a game. His skill set is good around the basket with effective post moves and the ability to score with both hands. He will also step out and knock down an open 3-pointer off the pick and pop. King also has some bounce and will throw down a dunk in traffic as well.
Tyon Hughes 6’5″ Soldan: An athletic combo forward who plays with tremendous activity on both ends of the court. He is always working the boards and running the court at all times. He scores at a high rate without having any plays run for him. He is currently scoring 14.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.6 steals for the 7-2 Tigers.
Luther Taylor 6’4″ Whitfield: An explosive lefty combo forward who is at his best when he is slashing to the basket with strong drives. I watched him scored a career-high 29 points in a game against Trinity at the Vianney Tournament. They couldn’t keep Taylor from getting to the basket. He has good length and he can definitely finish at the rim. He is currently averaging 18 points a game.
Drew Hardwick 6’5″ John Burroughs: After missing his junior season with a wrist injury, Hardwick is off to a great start of his senior season. He is a matchup problem with his strong body and low post skills, but he can also step out and knock down open 3-pointers. He is currently averaging 14.8 points and nine rebounds while shooting 51 percent from the field.
Brendan Smith 6’8″ Borgia: A blue-collar player who enjoys the physical part of the game. He has a good motor to go along with his bull-in-a-china shop style of play. He does an excellent job of the defensive boards. Smith is currently averaging 10 points, seven rebounds and three blocks a game.
