Five games to watch during Tuesday’s WIAA boy’s basketball action…
Milwaukee Bradley Tech (1-1) at Menomonee Falls (0-1)
This is a chance to watch some of the best young talent in the state. Menomonee Falls features the 1-2 punch of freshman Seth Trimble and Steven Clay. Meanwhile, Bradley Tech as arguably the best freshman in the state, Jeffery Brazziel.
DeForest (1-1) at Onalaska (1-0)
An intriguing non-conference matchup here. DeForest is arguably the favorite in the Badger North, led by the 1-2 punch of Trey Schroeder (21.0 ppg) and Austin Westra (14.5 ppg). Onalaska got a 22-point performance from Carson Arenz in their season opening win over Chippewa Falls.
Eau Claire North (2-0) at River Falls (1-0)
The two preseason favorites in the Big Rivers Conference battle on Tuesday. Behind Dalton Banks (30.5 ppg), North has looked very strong early on this season. River Falls will counter with sophomore Zac Johnson, who poured in 32 points in the season opener.
La Crosse Central (1-0) at Eau Claire Memorial (2-0)
Junior Cade Boser has Eau Claire Memorial off to a strong start. The Division 1 prospect is averaging 21.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per game through two outings. He’ll have his hands full against a La Crosse Central team that reloaded from last season. 2020 shooting guard Johnny Davis dropped 31 points for the Red Raiders in their season opening win at Marshfield.
Madison Memorial (2-0) at Madison East (4-0)
This has been a heck of a gauntlet for Memorial to start the season. After knocking off Sun Prairie and Madison La Follette, the Spartans will try and take down another top Big Eight Contender on Tuesday. Cade Ellingson enters Tuesday averaging nearly 20 ppg for Memorial. Meanwhile at East, the Purgolders have won four games in a hurry and are getting big numbers from junior Anthony Washington (20.3 ppg).
