Juan Diego vs, Herriman
As we expected this game went down to the wire. Herriman jumped on JD as Jael Vaugh hit two tough jumpers. Juan Diego started to control the pace even though they were down in the 1st quarter. Herriman had some moments of brilliance going inside but Rai Tiniauarii hit a 15 footer to tie the game and send it to OT. In OT the game belonged to Lawson Roe who hit two huge 3-pointer. JD looks tough.
Woods Cross vs. Clearfield
The Wildcats were lead by Jake Howe but he received a lot of help from various teammates as the WX Wildcats win their third game in a row. They will have a tough game against Northridge coming up.
Higland vs. Granger
In a back and forth game Highland was able to outscore Granger 11 to 2 in the 2nd OT to pick up the gritty win. Christian Rich and Liki Makaui combined for 52 points to lead all scorers. Roulervee Vann had 28 points for Granger. Highland has 3 very winnable games coming up.
Taylorsville vs. Skyline
Taylorsville’s late magic has run out as they fell to Skyline by one point. T-Ville had a shot at the end but didn’t get a good luck and suffered a loss to fall to 2-2. Taylorsville was once again lead by 6’3 G Cameron Millican who had 24 points. Skyline gets back to 500. Skyline has a couple of tough games coming up.
Cottonwood vs. West Jordan
Eli Reynolds and Britton Jenson combined for 30 points for Cottonwood to upset West Jordan who has been playing well. Cottonwood improves to 3-1 and we expect them to handle Hillcrest in their next game. West Jordan falls to 3-1 and have a brutal three games coming up.
Intermountain Christian vs. APA Draper
These two teams were in a shootout as 1A Intermountain Chrisitian found another player that could put up ig number in Dylan Stoddard who had 41 points, but it wasn’t enough as APA Draper was able to pull off the victory. Look for the 1A school to start making some noise in 1A.
