Sean Sims 2021 Southwest Christian Wing
In the biggest moments, Sims wanted the ball in his hands shooting the rock. Gliding across the court, Sims is tough to stop when he finds his spots on the floor. The touch he puts on his jumper is very impressive. He identifies as a true shooting guard from days of old.
Ethan Cole 2020 Collinsville Guard
Cole got hot early on at the Veterans Arena Invitational from three-point land. He kept opponents on their toes with tremendous shooting and poise. He has solid size at 6’2 with a good shooting stroke. Cole was the clear leader on offense for Collinsville. He could be a good small college recruit. Quickness will be something Cole will need to improve.
Kavon Key 2020 Tulsa Memorial Wing
Key is not a high volume shooter by any means for Tulsa Memorial. In his role, Key makes the most of his opportunities. He hit some big shots in key moments for the Chargers. The build of Key instantly catches your eye. Despite his super strong physical build that leads most to believe he mostly plays in the paint, Key can knock down shots and moves well enough to be a perimeter oriented player. This weekend he showed off his value as a shooter. He was most effective hitting big shots from the corner.
Jonah Wolters Wichita Defenders Guard
The build of Wolters does not scream shooter, but once he started hoisting shots it was clear the kid can shoot at a high level. He likes to step into his shots from behind the arc. Walters is a very streaky shooter from the outside.
Mikhail Stojanov 2019 Southwest Christian Academy Guard
Stojanov shot the ball very well from three-point range in spot-up opportunities. The guards around Stojanov helped him to get open looks with their ability to create. Something that won’t get enough attention is how well Stojanov knows how to move without the ball and waits for the perfect moments.
Cole Durkee 2019 Sand Springs Wing
Durkee moves so well without the ball in his hands to get an open spot up looks at the basket. He drained three-pointers this weekend anytime an opponent let him have a little bit of room. Durkee is going to be a great find for a small college program looking for a sniper from distance.
Marlo Fox 2021 Sand Springs Point Guard
After a rough start to the weekend, Fox turned in the corner in the opening contest. He found his shooting stroke from behind the arc, which led to confidence. Once he had his confidence he continued to shoot the ball well adding in a nice drive. Confidence is so key to Fox being successful.
