Santa Fe: Christian Khoury
Khoury isn’t even the star player on the Wolves, but he started the game on fire. He looked like the best, most complete player for Santa Fe after forcing a few early fast breaks with his defense. After a few buckets off fast breaks early on, Khoury opened things up with the three later in the first half. Playing against a less athletic team, Khoury took the lead in the first half, scoring 14 points and finished the game with 25 points off 5 3s.
Edmond Memorial: Keystone Spotwood and Jacob Eichler
Edmond Memorial played Capitol Hill on Thursday night and there was a clear mismatch. With Memorial winning by 70 points, the starters didn’t play much and the Bulldogs definitely weren’t searching for 3-point shots but when the Memorial reserves checked in, they let it fly.
Keystone Spotwood and Jacob Eichler let it fly from deep as they checked in for the majority of the second half. Between the two of them, they shot 5-of-9 from long distance. Though both are still underclassmen, they give Memorial something to look forward to in future years.
Edmond North: Landry Harris.
Harris is one of North’s best players hands down. He can create off the dribble, plays above-average on-ball defense and has a quick release. On the first night of the Edmond Open, Landry connected on two 3s but was right on target for two others.
With him not playing the entire game, he surely would’ve connected on a few more 3s.
