Nick Ongenade 2019 Southwest Christian Forward
Ongenade did not appear as a super big force to score early but showed up huge the more we were able to see him in action. He showed off a nice low post game with his back to the basket. On top of the crafty moves, he had down low he also fired a nice mid-range jumper.
Kalib Boone 2019 Tulsa Memorial Forward (Signed to Oklahoma State)
Boone was a force down low using his quickness, explosiveness, and power to score points for the Chargers. He has also started to venture out and shoot three-pointers. In this day and age Boone will only help himself if he is able to become a consistent threat from the outside lookout. He brought his hard hat this weekend and went to work each game putting on a show for the fans. Opponents struggled to put up any fight in the final two days against the length and athleticism of Boone.
Cale Savage 2019 Sand Springs Wing
Savage had himself quite the weekend scoring points in bunches, especially on Saturday. He poured in 35 points to cap off a great showing. Savage scored the ball in all three phases of the game on his way to putting on a show. Savage will be key to the success of Sand Springs. What makes him different than most with basketball being his second sport, Savage just wants to win. He is not about how many he puts up, simply he just wants what is best for his team.
David Brown Wichita Defenders Wing
Brown came out firing this weekend with a killer jumper from three-point land. The quick trigger of Brown fired daggers through the net. He was the constant scoring force for the Wichita Defenders from the outside. Brown also was not afraid to put the basketball on the floor with several tough drives.
Keylan Boone 2019 Tulsa Memorial Wing (Signed to Oklahoma State)
Boone put on a shot this weekend with a great display of athleticism in his scoring. He scored in different ways each game. On Thursday night he put in 15 points in a low scoring game. In that game, he pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds to lift the Chargers with a lot of second-chance opportunities. He continued filling it up shooting the ball even better over the last two games. Oklahoma State is getting a dynamic Wing who can put the ball through the hoop.
Traejon Davis 2020 HFC Warriors Wing
Davis showed off an improved mid-range jumper. Since we last saw him Davis has grown a little, which will only help him in his projection to college. He drove to the basket using his length and size to finish over defenders. Davis really stuck to finding his mid-range shot and driving to the hoop. For his game to take the next step offensively he needs to become a consistent three-point shooter. When opponents focused on him he was not very effective due to his lack of shooting from distance.
Ethan Cole 2020 Collinsville Guard
Cole is the leading scorer for Collinsville because of his shooting stroke and craftiness on the court. He does a great job getting to his spots that set him up for success. As the confidence is growing in Cole he is starting to believe he can produce at a high level each night. Small colleges this is a guy in 2020 you want to have on your radar.
Sean Sims 2021 Southwest Christian Wing
Sims was the key to the engine of Southwest Christian this weekend. He can score in a variety of ways including off the bounce. He is most known for his killer jumper, which once he finds lookout. Sims has a bright future on the court with projections to the NCAA Division I level.
Davon Richardson 2020 Sand Springs Wing
Richardson was great for Sand Springs this weekend. He is known as a shooter, but that was not all he showed off. Slashing and driving to the hoop were two major ways Richardson impacted the game scoring. The biggest takeaway I had was how mature Richardson has become on the offensive end. He trusts the system and waits patiently for the perfect time to attack.
