Top Performers (12/28)
Friday featured some big time matchups and performances from teams across the state. There were some upsets and some big time stat lines. Listed below are players that deserve to have their name mentioned for how they played. We expect Championship Saturday to be even better!!
Trinity Bell (Albertville): The young big was dominant against Plainview. Bell finished with 22 and 22. Bell was extremely hard to keep off the glass and out of the paint.
Blake Floyd (Pelham): Floyd is one of the better shooters in his class. He finished with 19 points and 5 assists. He also knocked down 5 triples.
Chris Brown (Pelham): Brown has had a very good month of December. Brown finished with 19 points.
BJ Comer (PCA): Comer continues to turn heads with his play. BJ finished with 19-8-9 against Keith.
Cameron Tucker (Wenonah): Tucker finished with 20 over Orem (Utah). Tucker was hard to guard at all 3 levels.
Justin Minter (Wenonah): Justin showed that can do everything for the Dragons. He finished just shy of a triple double with 12-11-9.
GaQuincy McKinstry (Pinson Valley): McKinstry stuffed the stat sheet with 28-5-5. He showed that he is one of the top players in the 2021 class.
Kam Woods (Pinson Valley): Woods made big timely plays in the win over Calhoun. Woods finished with 29 points and 5 assists. He also was 6/10 from 3.
JP Robinson (Deshler): Robinson continues to be one of the most improved players. He finished with 23 points in Deshler’s win over Belgreen.
Jeremiah Littlepage (McAdory): In McAdory’s win over Hewitt-Trussville, Jeremiah impacted the game with his defense (11 blocks) and tough rebounding.
Josh Burns (Mortimer Jordan): Burn’s shot the skin off the ball against Pelham (8/12 from 3). He also grabbed 10 rebounds.
Kam Harris (Bessemer City): Harris has been the go-to player for Bessemer City all season. Kam averaged 27-6-5 over the past 2 days.
Ahman Ellington (Hoover): Ellington is becoming a force for Hoover. He finished with 30 points and 8 rebounds as Hoover advances to the Big Orange Classic Championship.
Zack Littleton (Thompson): Littleton showed off the smooth stroke tonight. He finished the night with 21 points (5/6 from 3). He is shooting 45% from 3 on the year.
