Josh Minney 2020 Sand Springs Wing
Minney is a big-time team guy on the Wing for Sand Springs He made some huge hustle plays pushing the Sandites to victory. He has turned into a guy who can handle the ball. Sand Springs uses him a lot in the high post to initiate the offense. He came up with several big rebounds on the weekend. Minney is also becoming a good finisher down low. He played the best we have ever scouted him this weekend. Small colleges should start to put him on their radar for 2020.
Brayshawn Finch 2020 Tulsa Memorial Wing
Finch has great potential for Tulsa Memorial in the 2020 Class. I love the length and athleticism he possesses. Finch was everywhere on the court. Most notably Finch came up with huge steals late in the game to lift his team to help lift his team to victory. He is still learning the game. By this time next year, he would make the perfect get for a JUCO or small college program to get into their system. At 6’4 with his length and athleticism, he will fit what a lot of programs do.
James Alexandre 2019 Tulsa Memorial Point Guard
Alexandre is the definition of a glue guy for Tulsa Memorial. Due to the Boone twins, he does not have near the opportunities to score or be a playmaker. Alexandre does not pout or get upset he simply makes winning plays left and right. From taking charges to making the extra pass, Alexandre is a winner. The small college who lands his talents will get a playmaker with the ball in his hands that will run through a wall for his team.
Nathan Serna 2020 Collinsville Guard
Serna was everywhere on the floor non-stop doing his best to make plays for Collinsville. He is going to be a prospect who may not always play well but you can always count on to always play hard. Serna is a good athlete with some upside to his game including his level of competitiveness.
Mikhail Stojanov 2019 Southwest Christian Academy Guard
Stojanov is the secondary ball handler for Southwest Christian he did a little bit of everything for them. He shot the ball well from three-point range in spot-up opportunities. Stojanov also was great in loose ball situations. He brought tough defense as well.
Caden Fry 2022 Collinsville Forward
Fry was a great find at the Memorial Veterans Invitational at every bit of 6’6 he has some potential to his game. Fry was a super high energy guy on both ends of the floor. He rebounds the ball very effectively. On defense, he made sure opposing players driving to the basket felt his presence. As most freshmen do he makes mistakes here or there, but I thought he did a great job of correcting things as the weekend went along. Fry is a guy I expect to see a lot more of over the next coulee of years.
Mawein Akol 2019 Southwest Christian Forward
Akol stood out from the opening tip because of his size and length at 6’8. He moves his feet well allowing him to be a force on defense. Akol is an explosive athlete soaring high for slam dunks on offense and blocks on defense. It was exciting to watch his display of athleticism over the weekend.
