It was a close game, but ISchool came away victorious. Here are the players who stood while he was in attendance:
Jonathan Aku / 6’10″ / C / ISchool Entrepreneurial / 2020
⭐⭐⭐
Aku did as good of a job as he possibly could guarding Tyreek Smith on the block. His body is massive and immovable to the point where opposing post players are not able to bang or get physical with him. Offensively, he catches high and finishes above the rim with thunderous slams. He even showed the ability to hit a 15-foot jumpshot. Aku possesses a ton of upside and will be more of a beast on the offensive end when he learns to make the correct reads on the low block. He finished with 18 points and twelve boards on the day.
Quevian Adger / 6’7″ / SF / ISchool Entrepreneurial / 2020
⭐⭐⭐
Adger is a very talented prospect with upside. His success on the court truly depends on his motor and aggression. The junior wing hit a couple of threes off the catch within the first three quarters. However, he finished the game in the fourth by getting to the rim and living at the foul line. He converted on seven of eight attempts from the charity stripe and finished with 17 points to go along with six rebounds.
Petar Krivokapic / 6’2″ / SG / ISchool Entrepreneurial / 2020
Hidden Gem
Krivokapic is new to the Lone Star State. The junior guard transferred in after attending Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas last year. The native of Montenegro has a strong body and can shoot the long ball really well off the catch. He needs to continue improving his ball handling, but he does a good job shielding off on-ball defenders to protect the rock. Krivokapic scored 12 points in the early morning win.
Tyreek Smith / 6’8″ / C / Trinity Christian-Cedar Hill / 2019
⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Aggie commit made an impact on both ends of the floor as usual. Smith showcased parts of his game I was not used to seeing. He put the ball on the floor from the perimeter and attacked the rack to score. He also showed shooting touch by knocking down a couple of turnaround jumpers. The chiseled big man with a 7-foot-5 wingspan can be counted on to throw down explosive dunks, grab rebounds, and block shots. Smith finished with a game-high 24 points, ten rebounds and two blocks in the loss.
Jordan Berry / 6’4″ / SG / Trinity Christian-Cedar Hill / 2019
Berry has solid size for position and shot it well this morning. He spaces the floor and is the Tigers’ primary catch-and-shoot threat within the offense. The unsigned senior also put the ball on the floor and hit a couple of short jumpers in the paint; but, he is more comfortable spotting up from behind the arc. Berry scored 15 points (3 3PT FGM) in the loss.
