Carter Cook of Bigfork. With 22 points, seven boards, four assists, and four steals a game as a junior Carter Cook often did what he wanted as a junior. Cook has an uncanny ability to go at players, take their contact and soot through their arms to complete plays.
Will Durie of Hibbing. The Bluejackets haven’t lost a game yet this year fulfilling higher expectations than they’ve recently had. Luke Lundell and Ayden McDonald are the scorers but the guy pushing the pace with aggressive basket attacks is Will Durie. Durie is a multi-sport athlete that is fearless in his approach to the game.
Jonathan Jacobson of Crosby-Ironton. Jacobson was a part of the Ranger team that pushed to the title game two winters back and now he is the senior leader. Jacobson stands 6-foot-5 allowing him to play in the paint but his skills allow for scoring with range as well. Jacobson put together a 16 point, 9 board junior season.
Kaden Kucza of Hermantown. The Hawks are 5-0 and they’ve found another player that they can rely on for regular production in a strong way. Peter Soumis and Connor Bich are the names you know, add six foot junior Kaden Kucza to the last. Kaden has given his team double figure numbers commonly this year.
Samuel Lohn of Duluth Marshall. At just under six feet, Lohn put up 18 a game as a freshman with his incredible ability to work his way to space and most open shots and a lot of contested attempts. Samuel finds his way to the basket in ways that often times doesn’t even make sense.
Tyler Nynas of Barnum. Tyler used his shooting touch to score 18 a game as a junior and the 5-foot-11 guard is now the senior leader of a long time quality program. Tough player that will exploit any crack and physically attack the space.
Josh Reinertsen of Duluth Denfeld. A 6-foot-1 junior guard scoring a dozen a night and teaming with senior guard Joe Cvancara for a 1-2 punch that Denfeld hopes can surprise the state. Cvancara is a double-double guy while Josh has become the playmaker that team relies on.
Patrick Vanderbeek of Ely. Vanderbeek strikes like a snake. He hits threes and scores his 20 a game from deep range and then comes back the other way and takes your lunch money by picking your pocket and darting passing lanes.
Noah Winesett of Duluth East. Noah showed explosive scoring tendencies as a sophomore and now as a junior Noah is scoring about 18 a night for a 3-0 Greyhounds team.
