He got after it on the defensive end of the floor coming with a nice amount of steals and deflections but handled his business offensively as well with 16 points on the night.
Overhills 2020 Guard Jase Ford: We have seen him put together some very impressive scoring performances over the summer. Although his team brings him off the bench he is one of the more efficient scorers and would start just about anywhere else. His final stats on the night were 15 Points, 4 rebounds, 4 Assist and 3 steals on over 60% field goal shooting.
Terry Sanford 2021 Guard Kellen Ballou: He led the team in scoring on the night with 17 points and was efficient with his play. He knocked down the trey ball, got into the paint often and didn’t turn the ball over much.
Terry Sanford 2020 Wing Yates Johnson: Shooting wise he had an off night, but he did just about everything else you could want from him. 12 Rebounds and Assist to go along with 8 points for the 6’5 wing showed that even if he’s not knocking down shots, he can still make a very positive impact on the game.
Overhills 2021 Guard Cinque Lemon: This was an off game for Cinque but he showed the potential he has and he will be one to watch closely this season. He has good height for a guard at about 6’5 and has a good amount of upside that should cause colleges at the D1 level to keep an eye on him.
Overhills 2019 Wing Lexuus Fasce: Due to lack of size on the team, he is playing somewhat out of position but you can see the skillset and talent. He’s in the 6’4-6’5 height range and plays the game in a physical manner when he is in the paint but also can step out and knock down some shots from deep.
Terry Sanford 2020 Forward Ky’ron Kelly: He’s come a long ways in a short amount of time which is something you have to be impressed with. Does a nice job of running the floor and finishing above the rim, you can tell he puts in a nice amount of time working on his footwork and post moves.
Overhills 2019 Forward Jaylen Moore: One of the better rebounders in this game, he does a nice job of getting position early and boxing out. Once a shot goes up, he’s finding a body instead of watching the ball. He’s another player that has the ability to step out and knock down the trey ball which we saw over the summer.
Overhills 2022 Guard/Forward Truman Claytor: A young talent that you should get to know sooner than later. He didn’t have his best day but showed some flashes of how good he can be, will only get better as time goes on.
