Isaiah Stevens • 5’11” • PG • Allen
Stevens is putting himself in the conversation for best point guard in the class. He could be plugged into a college system today and would still thrive. The Colorado State signee consistently led the Eagles in scoring and assists. He put up an impressive 40-ball against Cibolo Steele in a semifinal double overtime win. The Eagles won the In-N-Out Burger Invitational (their third tournament championship of the season) and Stevens was awarded his second tournament MVP of the season for his play.
Samuell Williamson • 6’8” • SF • Rockwall
The gap between Samuell Williamson and Tyrese Maxey is not as far as it was two months ago. Williamson’s game translates to the highest of levels and is continuing to put up big numbers in the scoring and rebounding departments. It will be a tough decision on whether he should be rewarded the number one spot for his current efforts.
Trey Tennyson • 6’3” • SG • Mansfield Legacy
The decision to leave 5A state powerhouse Mansfield Timberview is looking to be a great move for Tennyson. Our staff did not get a chance to see him, but his performances at the Midway Tournament are worth noting. The Central Connecticut State signee scored 42 points in his semi-final game and 26 in the championship win over Pearland. Look for him to be inserted within the top 100 of our senior rankings.
J’Wan Roberts • 6’8” • PF • Killeen Shoemaker
Houston will be receiving one of the most skilled defensive players in the country. But, it was his offense that was key in some of the Wolves’ tournament victories. Roberts displayed shooting ability out to three-point range. He is confident taking shots from behind the arc and it will benefit him as he transitions into a hybrid floor-spacing four at the next level.
Kwabena Davis • 6’3” • SG • Cibolo Steele
Davis has not signed his letter of intent with the Army, but he still is a verbally committed prospect who performed well in Allen this weekend. Davis constantly made opposing defenses pay when being left open from behind the arc. He converted on multiple opportunities off the catch from deep. Davis was also bouncy inside and exploded to score at the basket in transitional play.
