Here is a look at some of the other standouts from the SEMO Tournament who were not wearing a Sikeston uniform.
Kinyon Hodges 6’3″ Cape Girardeau Central (’19) – The athletic wing was a force throughout the tournament with his slashing moves to the basket. He displayed some explosiveness with several transition dunks and knocked down a number of jumpers in the championship game against Sikeston. He scored 17 points in the semifinals against Poplar Bluff and 24 points in the finals against Sikeston.
Dominique Hardimon 6’3″ Poplar Bluff (’19) – The bullish combo forward was hard to handle with his physical strength and ability to beat defenders off the dribble. He is a strong finisher around the basket and he grabbed a number of offensive rebounds and scored on put-backs.
Blessin Kimble 6’5″ Charleston (’20) – A hard working young power forward is currently leading the Blue Jays in scoring and rebounding on the season. He has a strong motor and he rarely takes plays off, especially when it comes to chasing rebounds. His offensive game has improved and he can score around the basket consistently.
Chauncey Hughes 6’0″ Cape Girardeau Central (’19) – The athletic guard is really good at slashing to the basket with daring moves and strong finishes at the rim. When the game gets into a faster tempo, it unleashes his ability to attack the basket and get out in the transition game.
Joseph Hardimon 5’11” Poplar Bluff (’21) – Dominique’s younger brother has stepped up his level of play as a sophomore. He nearly pulled out the semifinal game against Cape Central when his brother fouled out with three minutes to play. He came up with excellent drives to the basket and an improved stroke from 3-point range. Like Dominique, he has a strong body that can play through contact.
